Miller painfully recalls the echo of Coughlin's hate-filled rhetoric about the "modern money changers [Jews] in the Temple [Wall St.]", and how it's time to be rid of them. An admirer of Mussolini and Hitler, he was pushed off the air by 1939 when Poland became the target of both Nazi and Soviet aggression. Coughlin's one-man nine-year gig did much damage, but by the end of the war, and the exposure of Nazi crimes against Jews, silenced voices like his on air -- but his flock was still active and his message remained the same. Fast-forward to today's Muslims: how many radio programs, TV stations (like Fox, and others), blogs, online forums and numerous sites, YouTube videos, etc.,.. and the many anti-Muslim think tanks have been vehemently and consistently demonizing ALL Muslims, to the point that as recent as this week, mosques around the nation have been warned that they are being monitored by militias, and targeted for extreme acts of violence... basically, terror. And when Der Donald becomes president, another ugly saga in U.S. history will be added to the many ugly sagas of racism and violent bigotry fueled by White Supremacy -- which if one points out its irrationality and constructed bogeymen/women who become its latest victims... one is called a "racist".
