The more one researches the ancient world the more can one see the concept of momotheism in all of them. The concept of God in Islam is as follows:

"He is Allah the one and only,
Allah the Absolute, the Eternal,
He begget not nor is He begotten,
and there is no equal to Him". (Quran 112).

Compare with the most sacred scriptures of Hinduism

"He is only One without a second" (Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1)

"He who knows me as the unborn, as the beginning less, as the Supreme Lord of all the worlds" (Bhagvad Gita 10:3)

"There is no likeness of Him" (Shetshvatara Upanishad 4:19)

"His form can not be seen, no one sees Him with the eye" (Shetshvatara Upanishad 4:20).

The same goes in other ancient beliefs whether they be of Mesopotamia, Australia, South America, Africa, etc. They all have one thing in common and that is the concept of God. That is exactly as the Quran states that to every nation, community, etc there came a messenger to teach the "correct way". So the Assyrian God Asshur is no differen't from Ahura Mazda of the Persians, Atnatu of the Aborigines, Allah in Arabic etc. Since the beginning of mankind, people always knew the Creator and there were others who rejected and followed their own desires. It is pretty ignorant to refere to the ancient Assyrians as Pagans as a whole when there were always those who were monothesistic. The theory of some of the Christians is pathetic to think that all the ancient people were ignorant, uncivilized, barbaric and merciless.

In every age there were believers whether 1,000 years ago, 10,000, and all the way to the first human beings. The Bible myth that this world and humans are barely 6,000 years old is also pathetic. The natives of Australia are known to have been there at least 40,000 years ago and their concept of the Creator is identical with Islam. They obviously don't call it Islam because they do not speak Arabic nor did they call him "Allah" but the concept is the same.

The same goes for the Kapauku Papuans of west Gunea. These people were unknown until the 1930's, yet their theologists were able humiliate the Christian pastors who try to teach them about their concept of God. These people call the Creator "Ugatme" and He is also above anything the human mind can imagine. "He resembles nothing in his creation" etc. The same goes for the Dinkas of South Central Africa and their concept of God. The more one investigates, the more clearer it becomes. There were Muslims (those who submitted to the Creator) in every age and there were always those who rejected. This is nothing new except to those affected by Christianity and the others who don't care.

Thanks for posting this book and it is a good one. I've read parts of it before on the internet. It's nothing new for me because I know that there were true believers in Mesopotamia just as there were everywhere else ever since the first humans.
