Jeffrey, I didn't read the entire post by this gentleman, but I believe it has something to do with the closing down of a Presbyterian Church or churches, mainly because Persian Shia have been converting to Christianity and swelling the number of church congregation. The main reason, and I know this for a fact because I've met several of these Persian "Christians" in L.A., is not because of their love for Jesus or for spiritual matters. They are simply using the "Christian persecution" route to get out of Iran and head to the West. This is pissing off the Iranian government because it's horrible PR for them... considering how shitty their image already is in the West. And some of our priests are harming not only themselves, but all Assyrians in Iran by taking in these new converts, even though they have been warned by the government to not do so. And not only are they accepting these new converts, but they are vouching for them when by insisting to international human rights bodies that these converts are indeed being persecuted for their religion... and of course most, if not all, are... evangelicals... tied in with our right wing evangelicals here in the U.S. I guess the person posting this hasn't spent much time reading our comments and posts on this forum.
