Because you never asked for it until I supplied the actual words of Jesus...until then you were demanding that I bring some other authority than dictionaries or "what Christians do"...at that time you didn't speak about bringing universal truth...or ask what truth is...you said that you would ONLY accept the truth from the mouth of Jesus...and as soon as I brought you the quote from the bible, you veered off on a tangent demanding we consider universal truths...when that was never the discussion in the first place...

..the discussion was never about universal truths or the meaning of truth...it was about the TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY...and you said only Jesus could define those truths...so I found the words of Jesus himself telling his followers to eat and drink him....only THEN, when you were caught either ignorant or lying, that you decided to change the subject...which was NEVER universal truth but CHRISTIAN TRUTH.
