"..I don't buy the "power" of ISIS....that they are such a strong force the United States and the rest of those bums couldn't stop them, IF they wanted to. ...I see Toyota pickups with the same twenty guys holding the same machine guns with canons that don't look too impressive...they don't have attack helicopters, they don't have jets or missiles....and what's with the masks? if they're so formidable what do they care if anyone recognizes them....are they afraid of arrest warrants? And their training videos...the guys look like Boy Scouts...sure, they cut off heads but so what? How does that make you a match for the Western killing machine? ..I think we are backing ISIS and other "rebels" to continue to disrupt the region FOR us...we have no intention of seriously confronting them...none at all. But, here come the Chinese and Russians and they do want to stop them, for their own reasons, sure, but Obama is worried because he knows they CAN...and he doesn't want to....and how will it look if the "Gooks" beat ISIS?" -- As they say, the Chinese, the Russians and the Iranians are master chess players; whereas, our guys, "the Yanks", simply play checkers... and lose. With the satellite technology we brag about when it comes to sighting Russians setting up their gear in Syria, we somehow missed the hordes of trucks led by ISIS toward Mosul? Could we not have incinerated them as we did to hundreds of surrendering Iraqi soldiers on the Highway of Death, back in 1991? This has to do with the withdrawal of U.S forces based on the Status of Forces Agreement signed by Bush jr. and reluctantly implemented by Obama. The real issue is that we (the U.S.) never wanted to withdraw our forces, so with the ISIS monster, we've been waiting for the Iraqis to beg us to come back and run Iraq Bremer-style. Iran alone can take on ISIS. It did in the beginning and Kirkuk fell back into Iraqi hands; except we couldn't sit on the sidelines. So we sent our jets to coordinate attacks along with Iraqi and Iranian forces. The Iranians soon pulled out, because they witnessed not one, but several "mistakes" when U.S. planes were -- not dropping bombs -- but care packages for ISIS. During the Vietnam War, CIA's PHOENIX PROGRAM consisted of terror training. One of the techniques of terror employed by CIA's death squads (which was also repeated in Central America, in El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua) was to target civilian communities using Shock and Awe methods of terrorizing the locals and rendering them helpless by skinning alive the men of a village, castrating and making the victim swallow his own severed member causing a slow, painful death from asphyxiation (this was also used on Blacks in the South). Another means of mind terror was disemboweling members of a village in front of all to see. Or worse, forcing a father to rape his son, a son to rape his mother, a brother to rape his sister. And then of course (as Coppola showed us in "Apocalypse Now!") there were beheadings, or gouging out eyes with rusty spoons (a specialty of the Contras). Also, based on your theory, it's possible that ISIS is led by Blackwater (XE, Academi) whose CEO, Erik Prince, took refuge in the Emirates after facing a congressional hearing regarding the Nisour Square massacre. The Saudis are using Blackwater, XE, Academi mercenaries right now in Yemen. Soldiers of Fortune from Colombia, Africa and the U.S. -- no wonder there's a media blackout on Yemen. And notice the similarities in name changes: Blackwater, XE, Academi and ISIL, IS, ISIS. But again, I'm only speculating. --------------------- |
