I agree with everything in your post and I want to further elaoborate on the Crucifixion. This is the foundation of Christianity and without it there is no Christian religion. The entire concept is that God can only forgive sin by a blood sacrifice and this sacrifice could not be just a regular sacrifice but had to be "God himself". Now this of course is does not exist in Judaism nor anywhere in the Old Testament. This is blasphemy to Jews because a Messiah is not God nor even someone whose murder atones for sins. It is up to God himself to forgive, punish and do whatever. So this concept is definetly unique to Christianity only. A Christian can't have any hope for mercy from God in the hereafter without the murder of Jesus(as). It is through this act that sins are forgiven. Any Christian who claims otherwise is really not a Christian because this is one of the key beliefs of Christianity since it first originated in the 4th century. The Crucifiion, trinity, original sin, and atonement are key doctrines of Christianity. These are all unique and are unknown to Jews. If the Christians claim to believe in the same God of the Jews, they have to face the fact that they are in clear contradiction with Jewish beliefs. Jews do not believe in such a thing as "original sin", that all humans are naturally born sinners because of Adam and only the death of Jesus can remove this stain. Adam and his wife were both forgiven for their disobedience and the matter was already settled. The whole point behind it was that mankind has the ability to do bad things but the entire point is to repent, ask for forgiveness and make an effort to live a decent life according to the will of God with sincerity. This original sin doctrine is only known to Christianity and is not something which comes out of the Jewish scriptures. As far the resurrection, the sacrifice is the key and the coming back to life is what follows. Either way it goes back to point 1, and that is that Jesus had to be murdered on the cross in order for the Christian god to be able to forgive. The only answer the Christian can give to this embarrassment is "love". To be honest, I am now more convinced more than ever that even many Christians don't believe all the stuff in the church or religion but just follow along. Many of them seem very confused and do not even know what they believe. I've noticed this from my experience at work, school and other places. The most recent one was just a few days ago when I was talking to a Lutheran Christian who seemed very confused about her religion. She asked me about Islam and I gave her the answers to her questions and withing minutes she said in a jokingly manner "this is what I believe, where do I sign up". I told her I can bring her more info. Then I also have some relatives visiting from out of state and they are still shocked about me being a Muslim. They also appear very confused about their Christian faith but just simply follow blind faith. The point I am making is you bring any mature young person who is not brainwashed or programmed into believing the Christiabs dogmas and present them to this person, he/she will immediately reject them and make fun of them because they only make sense to a person who has been brainwashed since childhood or someone following along blindly. So for these few lying Christians to sit on here and try to play dumb or lie about their own religion is just sickening and just shows how untrsuworthy some of them really are, and how they are willing to quickly lie about their faith when it becomes convenient. There is no point in denying or playing stupid because the Eucharist is essiential to Catholics, Orthodox and many of the Protestant denominations as well. I personally don't know of any denomination which does not believe in this ritual unless it's some newly founded cult which these Christians on here have formed because even the Protestants that I know believe in this and do it. Some of the Protestant denominations don't do it as often as the Catholics but they do it at some point. They usually use grape juice instead of wine where as the Catholics use wine. It is just stupid to sit on here and lie about something like this. It's like me claiming to be a Muslim and then say that Fasting in Ramadan is not true or correct(staghfirullah). That would no longer make me a Muslim nor would I even call myself one because it goes against the teachings of my religion. --------------------- |
