What I find absurd about Christianity is that a person can live their life in harmony with the teachings of Jesus and be condemned to hell for for not accepting him or any idea of god or gods. But another person can rape and murder an innocent and say "forgive me Jesus, my Lord" they're "reborn" and off the hook?
