-- Cuba simply falls into what Chomsky calls "a threat of a good example". Universal healthcare and education is a good example that works and therefore is a threat. Nationalization of public utilities and public transport is a threat. Affordable housing and guaranteed employment is a threat. Public parks and museums are a threat. Existence of a Ministry of Culture and the Arts is a threat. But when some scumbag piece of shit hedge fund libertarian-capitalist takes ownership of the patent of a much needed drug for AIDS and cancer patients and raises its price by 5000%... that's considered to be a good example of practicing free enterprise, rugged individualism and bottom line fetishism. How's that compatible with the teachings of Jesus?
