...this is what the great DNA discovery showed...our dummies thought at last they could prove they were related by DNA to the ancients...but all that study could show was where you own genes had come from, and at that only for the last 500 years.

...I remember when the study was released how excited Assyrians were because they believed this was IT! Even an Assyrian professor of micro-biology at UC Berkeley I knew, was overjoyed because he, of all people, thought we could now prove we were Assyrians....I always said, this stuff makes even intelligent people stupid.

...first off you'd have to have usable DNA from Ashurbanipal or someone from back then...and that is impossible.

...for people who don't know by what paths their DNA came to them, this study was significant because it could tell them if there were European or Asian or African etc., genes....but we KNOW we come from the MidEast, so it wasn't going to do anything for us, except lead us into foolishness.
