The reality behind it is that there is no reason to force anyone to convert because that would contradict the "free choice" that every one has until death. If God so willed, He could have guided all of mankind and made them all one but as the Quran says "would you then force man to be thankful?" The answer is of course not. The Quran clearly prohibits compulsion in religion the Islamic understanding is clear on that because truth is distinct from error and any honest, sincere truth seeking individual can recognize for him/herself where the truth is. Islam never had to be forced on no one because it is nothing more than "surrendering to the will of the Creator" and that is something all are born with. That is the answer to the common question now days as to "why are so many people coming to Islam". The answer from an Islamic standpoint is clear. If the truth Islam is available to the people, the honest will come to know it for themselves because it is logic and everyone is born with that nature.

Unfortunately the same case can't be argued for Christianity because no honest person who asks questions, does research and compare will be able to remain a Christian(no offense to anyone). The only way it makes sense is not to try to understand it or make sense out of it, and they know it or else "You just gotta have faith" wouldn't be the most common Christian slogan that and along with the newest one invented by the cults which claim "you will never understand it unless you have the holy ghost". In other words, they knows it a bunch of bull shit.

No one forced me to convert and no one is forcing anyone to convert to Islam but Christians are doing anything to slander us by trying keep their own people ignorant of Islam and it's teachings. If Islam practiced forced conversions and encouraged it, not a single Christian, Jew, Hindu, or whatever else would remain when Muslims had over 1000 years to do it.
