Having grown up in a Christian/Assyrian houshold, I know nothing (except the usual hateful propaganda) about Islam. In any case, if this gentleman, Harris, is proposing the idea that it is in Islam and the Quran in which there are explicit teachings or instructions that are responsible for the vast waves of violence solely directed by Muslims at non-Muslims. Then, is it not also written or implied in the Old Testament that the people of Jewsih faith are the "chosen" ones? And, has not this special status given the Jews carte blanche to commit the most heinous human rights abuses against a people who have no army, no air force, no navy, a decrepit infrastructure, with no hope for a future state on their ancestoral lands which were (and are being) usurped for the reason the God chose that particular real estate for his "chosen" ones?
