Those people are full of shit. You wouldn't be able to talk to thousands of people even if you were on the computer all day. They just add as much as possible for whatever reason and feel it's cool. I know some people who have thousands of friends on there and they never speak to them. There was some silly Asian bitch on myspace a few years ago that had like 10,000 friends so she became famous because of that. It's stupid but people are doing just about anything these days.
