When some of my relatives were trying to stay in Germany permanently, they had a lawyer who was Assyrian and they tried to get him to lie and fabricate for them just to help them but he had integrity and refused. He told them to he would not participate and that he would lose his license. He wouldn't even let them sit with him in the restaurant immediately after because he didn't want to be seen with them and give someone the idea that they were together. To this day my uncle calls him an asshole even though he helped them remain in Germany and they been there for 36 years now. At the time they left, the Iraq and Iran war hadn't started yet so Christians were really living well. Some people are just prejudice and wouldn't live with Muslimsno matter how good their lives because, after all, they're "still muslims". But you bring these people to the US, and now they become holy citizens and behave. I actually have to give credit to Muslims for being decent to Assyrians for the most part. One of my relatives would get drunk and get on the roof of his house and shout insults at Muhammad, Ali and Fatima and his Muslims neighbors would get him into his bed because they knew he was drunk and crazy. My uncle told me when he was entering the Iraqi army, the officer taking his information was a handsome white looking fellow with red hair and green eyes. My uncle got happy and thought he must be Armenian so he starts insulting Muhammad in the most gruesome way and the man began shaking and and went to pray. When he realized that officer was a Muslim, my uncle sat there in that chair became pale and embarrassed for insulting the man and he was also lucky the man didn't have him hurt. I used to get worked up and upset when hearing stories of what Muslims did to Christians and over the years I've learned that many cases were just racist Christians unwilling to live with Arabs and Muslims. I've also had family live in Iran and said nothing but good things about Muslims there and how kind they were. The things that our heroes nationalist encourage Christians in Iraq to do would land you in jail in the west but it's only persecution when it's a Muslim country. --------------------- |
