Miller's art and writing was all about love-making... in a sublimated way. I had a old friend, a Jewish cat.. professional Jazz musician who'd visit Miller at Big Sur. He said that he was bigger than life (I know, cliche) but having met Miles Davis, and many other dark stars, when it came to Miller, he used to say that he would shake each time he was in his presence. An incredible artist, and a man of many tricks and full of humor and humility. (I was truly born in the wrong generation!) --------------------- |
