...all money is fake in that nothing backs it up....you can print all you want.....the trouble is inflation when you print too much. The private bankers who own the Fed tell us only they know when to print more money, that if it was in our hands, meaning the government's, we'd all go crazy and print all we wanted. But that's exactly what THEY do, only they control their greed so as not to blow the system, even as their system blows our lives to shreds....and of course we have no control over these bankers...we don't elect them or even know who they are so there is no way for us to control THEM. I don't really get this Brazilian scheme. It all depends on what you want the money for. If it's to be the Wild West with people scrambling to get as much money for themselves as they can, screw the community and all those who don't win the scramble, fine. That's one "system". If the money is tied to actual value, as in work done, and keeping in mind the limit on natural resources and food and decent conditions for the entire people, then money should be backed by work...and needs...and the amount of resources there are to share. In that system you can't buy up all the eggs just because you have the money to do it, and then sell them back at a profit to you which means everyone else gets poorer as they buy your eggs for more than they cost before....that is predatory capitalism and ends in disaster and poverty and ruin of the planet...which is where we are. If it is decided that each person must have the bare minimum for a decent life, then money can be valued at the work it takes to pay for that decent life...so many hours of work buys you so many groceries....in that system no one will become a billionaire, but neither will so many people's lives be destroyed and eventually everything else. It's sort of that way now...so many hours at such and such a wage and you can buy just so much of what you need...the difference is that now there has to be added on profit...that extra has to come from somewhere...it comes from us, from the wages we need just to survive..and eventually it will make us poorer and poorer...which is the way the game is rigged now. When we all get too poor and the rich can't squeeze any more out of us with which they can compete with the billionaire next door, they print more money, maybe even raise our piddling wages a bit, and the Great Game is on again for another several years during which the rich get to find more ways to skin us and we try hard to keep our skin...till we're too skinny to bother with any more, and the rich are bored because making more money is all they know how to do, so they start all over again. It's their game...as Dylan said, we're only their pawns. Without us there is no game and no fun for them. --------------------- |
