Don, It is amazing that you get it, not being born in Iraq, having never stepped a foot in the homeland, and being still so young! Just goes to show, you don't have to be a PHD or a professor or an author or born in the homeland to know that we are those very Assyrians that OTHERS tried to devastate, from the outside, and called us Nestorians, Chaldeans, Jacobites, Maronites, ANYTHING but Assyrian. That's exactly how Kurdistan was born. This is the source of our problem even today, hundreds of years later. Our own people legitimizing someone else’s struggle but not our own! Now you know why Dr. Joseph did NOT protest when his own colleagues printed a picture of Hormos Rassam and called him a Turk! what a Historian! In this world, you must get paid to be legitimate, to be real, to be taken seriously, or to not have people thinking of you as a liar because you are associated with a particular school of thought that is considered prestigious, never mind you are lying through your teeth and distorting the truth, because you are getting paid handsomely by your enemies.. How else can you explain a so-called “learned professor”, a PHD, and a so-called admired author, and a supposed “Historian” saying, "there’s no Assyrian ethnicity…just a Church.” If that’s what we write in our prestigious books, and print them at well-established and prestigious publishing firms, and have the whole world read this, then we don’t need enemies do we? . --------------------- - BACK TO INDEX - REPLY - QUOTE - EDIT - DELETE -
