..the answer to "where was the press" is easy enough to answer if you look back at the bullshit spewed out when regulatory laws for media ownership were changed...this allowed one conglomerate to own ALL meida outlets so that no dissent could be heard...not in print, not in radio and not in teevee. That was a quiet lttle change made in our laws. ..you have to remember the big deal the Repubs made of politicnas who were "soft on crime"...remmeber that? That was a dummy issue..it was a ploy by which they could get the RIGHT people in office...same as anti-communism..and those people could become heads of commissions and regulatroty agencies and change laws quietly...fuck crime and victims. ...corporations bought media outlets...they don't care whether they lose money or not in subscriptions..because they make TONS from arms sales and shady dealings in stocks..which they now "report" as "news". --------------------- |
