you wouldent acknowledge that i told you that religion is used to get the people to go along with the rouling peoples politics no acknowledgment, i told you that americas best friend in the middle east is saudi arabia and they sponsor the terorist groups in syria right now that is killing christians" (Taoro, I going to try to make an outline of the points you made above, cool?) -- Taoro: "religion is used to get the people to go along with the rouling peoples politics" You say that religion is a means to an end, used to divide and rule over the masses by a privileged few, in order to accommodate and further the interests of the ruling elites and their friends. -- T: "americas best friend in the middle east is saudi arabia" You also point out that the House of Saud are merely a comprador class in this game of divide and conquer, working against the interests of most of their own citizens, especially women, and certainly the minority Shia who practically live on top of oil reserves in the eastern part of the country. -- T: "they sponsor the terorist groups in syria right now that is killing christians" You also claim that the House of Saud along with Qatar, Turkey and Jordan are ostensibly funding, training and arming desperate impressionable men and numerous fanatics (with a probable number of religious psychopaths among them), in terrorizing and brutally killing (in addition to Christians) Muslims in Syria and Iraq (and elsewhere) who in their view fall outside of their extremist Salafi and Wahhabi narrow religious framework; and that this tempest of violence has reignited among a number of Muslims the political split in Islam that divided and engulfed the Islamic Ummah shortly after Muhammad's death (Rashad?), but more or less had subsided and then reemerged after the Shia revolution in Iran, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the need for a new enemy, globalization and the imposition of neoliberal economic policies (resulting in austerity measures leading to the disappearance of the middle-class and the widening gap between rich and poor -- everywhere), the attacks on New York and the Pentagon, and the rise and expansion of an unprecedented transnational-corporate-empire that aims to control the finite resources of the planet, which by historical and geographical accident, happen to be under the ground on top of which the wretched of the earth live -- whether it's in the Congo in Africa, the Amazon in South America, or the Middle East in Asia. You may have mentioned Israel and China (and India) playing a part in this, but I don't remember what exactly was that you said. -- These are your thoughts, not mine. I only attempted to outline them and take out the insults by editing them and making them coherent. Please correct me if I misrepresented your assessment. --------------------- |
