The best excuse they can come up with is Israel being the only "democracy" in the region so we must protect them. They won't mention that Israel is a huge investment for the U.S so it's made to appear as if they love Jews or that Jews control the United States. These are the two most common opinions and I used to believe Jews were really running everything only because it was common. I later met some Jews and they were horribly poor and lived in sheds compare to what I was living in. This changed my perception about them and also by reading how you explained this which makes much more sense. I have a person at my job who believes Jews run everything and he even goes as far as to say those priests guilty of child molestation are undercover Jews or they pretend to be poor but are all rich in reality.

It's amazing how absurd some people will get when it comes to Jews and Israel but one has to blame the Unites States for this. US is creating hatred for Jews globally by pretending to be allies and love them. They won't say how much money they are making and how many people here are benefiting from Israel. War in general is a huge profit for many. Everyone from Bill Gates to Dick Cheaney all benefit and make fortunes from wars.
