" Americans are afraid to travel to other countries because they're don't wanna be unpatriotic." -- As an American citizen, I too am afraid of traveling abroad with my American passport since most of what I read online in the comment threads made me realize that we, Americans, or we, naturalized citizens of the U.S.A. proud of having "made it" as U.S. citizens with our U.S. passports (which to an outsider and immigrant is akin to "the force" in the STAR WARS films), are slowly and painfully realizing that even our Euro white allies across the Atlantic hate us with so much passion due to our "arrogance" and our "ignorance". And our immediate reaction is "fuck you, you cologne-covered-B.O., smoking, wine and cheese drinking... French F*G!" The same is true of the Brits assessment of us... the Germans, the Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, Italian, Slavs, and many others. What a shame! There used to be a time (post-WW2) that a U.S. passport and some Hershey chocolate bars got a U.S. G.I. or even a citizen... laid, sexed-up, appreciated. Not no more! It reminds me of the 1960s and 1970s when the super-rich Iranians (you know the the type: white suits -- these days it's black suits) with curly Muslim Afros (making almost all Iranians look like the former porn star, Ron Jeremy) with hairy chests entangled in gold chains, and fury arms and wrists like a black forest hiding rings and a Rolex watch (which they pronounce as "Lolex" just as they butcher Rolls Royce and call it "Royce Royce" from behind thick curtain mustaches), and the horrible, loud, annoying "look at me, I'm a 'big shot'" attitude which makes all clear-thinking, rational Iranians run for cover.... The money-spending "cool Eye-ranians" were only as cool as the money they were raining down on cocktail waitresses and strippers... until Nov. 4, 1979 when the students and revolutionaries took over the U.S. embassy... the "love" of the white-suited Iranian quickly turned to an immense hate campaign of the black-bearded, black turbaned Mullah. The hatred intensified when the hostage-takers released all women and Blacks, explaining to the Afro-American embassy workers that they are quite aware about African-American history and are in solidarity with Black Americans. I remember this clearly. At my school it caused the white Christians to go crazy. --------------------- |
