There is a classic film by the Marxist filmmaker, Bernardo Bertolucci called, "1900" with Robert De Niro and Gerard Depardieu about two boys born on the same day on 1900: one is the son of the landowner; the other, a son of a peasant. It's a history of the rise of fascism and communism in Italy. There's a wonderful scene when the peasants refuse to work the land displaying that capital is defunct without the power of labor.
