"It would be a case of real exceptionalism if America REFUSED to play the bully, instead of glorifying its bullying" -- Exactly, and especially since god has sanctioned us to be the "Light onto other Nations" guiding us to light up the pre-dawn hours our version of the Blitzkrieg: SHOCK AND AWE, to bring peace and civilization to the rest of the nations. *By the way, in the last post I was referring to the fighter jet, F-4 Phantom II used in Vietnam to incinerate the beautiful, lush jungle by dumping barrels of Napalm and burning to embers and ashes all of the people (women, children, the elderly, in infirm) scrabbling and hiding as best they can from hell fire. And now, in our present wars and mini-wars, we and and our junior henchmen (Israel) use white phosphorous, which not only burns to and and through a victim's bones, but it sucks all of air out of its victims' lungs, be they human or animal. But not one U.S. or her ally has ever been sanctioned for its use. But an allegation -- a shady one regarding use of chemical weapons -- was pushing the world toward the bombing of a world leader, Assad (not someone I tend to like or respect) but he is nonetheless a world leader and to do him what was done to al Qaddafi, who's murder was at the hands of a French Intelligence Officer (even though our organs of propaganda insists that it was "his people" who allegedly shot him in the head. And as far as Saddam: "Bidders from Iran, Israel and Kuwait are said to be vying to get their hands on the grisly memento, according to the London-based Al-Araby Al-Jadeed website. It's currently held by Mowaffak al-Rubaie, Iraq's ex-national security advisor. In 2013, he was photographed with the rope on display in his living room, slung around the neck of a bronze statue of the former president. That prompted a flurry of interest in the rope, a senior Iraqi politician tells the website. He says among those bidding are two Kuwaiti businessmen, an Iranian religious organisation and a wealthy Israeli family, and that an offer of $7m (£4.6m) has been made. Mr al-Rubaie has not commented on the report." http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-31133654 --------------------- |
