I typed this in a hurry, so please excuse the typos. (The Israelites escaped from Egypt 3,000 years ago, not 30000.) The gap between the masses and governments is so great, as Rabbi Lerner points out, that most people in the Middle-East (Muslim, Jewish and Christian) want peace and not war. Chomsky made the same point about the discrepancy between the rulers of Arab nations who want war with Iran and the ruled who support peace with Iran. But as a skeptic and a pessimist, I doubt there will be peace. Shalom. --------------------- |
