Yes, the Bible is full of violence and we are not talking about soldier vs soldier, but genocide, rape and killing everything in a town. In the Bible, god tells Moses(a so called prophet and a very holy man in Islam and Judaism) to kill everyone man, woman, child, animal and trees in the towns he and his soldiers captured. Bible is full of genocides and gos has killed more than Hitler has. Christians usually dismiss that and say "it's called old testament for a reason" but that's bs because they also say that Jesus and the one who inspired the old testament is the same one god. Either it's a contradiction or they must admit they worship more than one god which would make them polytheists. But the Old Testament isn't the only place violence is found in the Bible. What about in the book of Matthew where Jesus says he came to bring war, swords etc? He said he didn't come to bring peace on earth but came to bring war and turn a family upside down.

The Quran is not also filled with violence. The Quran has no verses where Muhammad is ordered to wipe out everyone and "everything". In fact, even the 8 verses which pertain to war and conflict do not allow such evil acts. It only allows Muslims to defend themselves and it says to stop fighting when oppression is no more and people are free.

If Hitchens made such comment, then I know he has never read the Quran and that would make him an idiot for speaking about something he is ignorant of and he is not using logic at all. For a people who pride themselves with science, logic, reason, open-mind, etc, it's strange that they suck so badly when it comes to judging Islam. All of the people who say Quran is full of violence are either liars, ignorant or going off of what they heard from someone else. When I was still Muslim, an Assyrian tried to tell me the Quran says that Muhammad brought gifts to Mary when she had Jesus and he was trying to show me how Islam is false and Muhammad didn't do his homework. There is no such thing in the Quran so the guy was obviously going by what some ass hole had told him.

The word sword in never mentioned in the Quran and I once challenged anyone to find this word in the Quran and I would pay him for it. Nobody could do it because it doesn't exist. The difference between Quran and Bible is like night and day. No comparison at all.
