I remember how stunned I was the first time I raised this issue years ago on aina, only to be told by twelve people that my mother must be a whore. Does that sound like any rational response to a challenge? Especially if you believe you are right and have any evidence to back you up? Actually we're not only dealing with very ignorant people (you can tell they're sensitive to their total lack of any serious education by the way they always use "you ignorant" as an insult)but also people whose entire life is ruled by their religion...even when they think it's not. Because they took this religion literally and see that as a great mark of distinction...whereas it's all hearsay, unprovable and fantastic beyond human comprehension...which is exactly their approach to this fake identity of theirs...it needs no evidence because Jesus doesn;t need nay evidence...you see, the great strength of all this nonsense is that you have to take it on FAITH..and hence their dismal response to a call for evidence...why, it would almost be an insult to them, a sign that their "faith is lacking", to be asked to produce evidence...whether for the existence of Jesus and his miracles to anything from a book, a real book about modern assyrians....but to them the bible is the most real book in the world, so they're not impressed by historians and scientists and such. Except...except for the few and humorous times when they come up with a map...or some fellow who supposedly said he was assyrian...or a newspaper article in which the poor reporter sort of had to believe every fantastic lie they told because he or she felt they were dealing with normal, rational people, not the kind who calmly tell lies and more lies...and they quote THAT article back to us, like it's legitimate...like Aprim's "books". So we can see that they deeply feel the inadequacy of their position because they try, they do try, to bring what they call evidence..but that it is of such poor quality and completely unconvincing, and yet they try anyway, only tells you that they KNOW there is no evidence and also that they would LOVE to have any evidence to show, but, since they don't..."look at my MAP". They take from history what they like...as they take only what they like from the bible, you know, those parts which "praise and love" the ancient Assyrians...so for them, when they find nothing they like in a book, they discard the book...it's that easy for them...fine...great...let's just go out THERE and put our cards on the table....I'm eager to see if they will even utter one peep to the administrators at Wikipedia....because they WILL be asked for evidence, hell, the administrators already know something is not quite right because they themselves are asking for some expert to weigh in... The day is coming and soon too when we'll see these heroes of assyria cut and run...not even make a stand for their "identity"...like they ran from Iraq to talk big in the safety of America and Europe. ...come and get it....boys. --------------------- |
