I love animals and childern. Since I live in an apartment, I can't have a dog, so I got myself a cat. Unlike adults, children and animals don't have what Iranians call "shisheh khurdeh" (jagged edges). In Iran, anytime my grandfather would see someone abusing their own kids, or animals, he would yell in his broken Farsi "Pedar Sag!" (Brunet Kalbah -- S.O.B.)and he'd always get involved and once his broken Farsi wouldn't suffice, he'd try Turkish... then he'd finally settle for Assyrian. The Iranians in our neighborhood had no experience with our language, they'd refer to my grandfather as "Martikeh Alemani -- the crazy German). I don't agree with what Vick did, but in relation to crimes against humanity, it's comes no where near what the children of the world have suffered, are suffering, and will suffer due to sanctions and wars. --------------------- |
