No, the killer has to be a Muslim in order for the victim to qualify as a martyr. doesen't matter if he may not even be truly Muslims but he will still be turmed into a sheikh even if he is like hasni Mubarak who throws Muslims in prison. So, since the killer was not a "Muslim", he does not qualify as a martyr. Their definitions are always off whether it be "martyr" "genocide" etc. They take terms and use them even if they do not apply to a certain situation but that satisfies them.
