..the constant refrain in all these wars is the notion that with the first bomb, or attack, or Sanctions, the people being attacked will turn against their leader and kiss up to those attacking or Sanctioning their country...I don't think our assholes really believe this...it is their wish that it NOT be true anyway...but they know that those people, like our own, will only come to the defense of their leader and country, even if they hated each other before...this is common sense and I think Bush and the French and everyone else knows this, in fact I think it is their INTENTION...so they have all the more excuse to bomb all the more...either to further "convince" the people that they should betray their own leaders or as the excuse to "ramp things up some more" in order to GET them to do so....meanwhile the real objective: Creating Terrorists and bombing those countries into a Dark Age is being accomplished, no matter the silly rhetoric.

The United States wants a particular kind of "new government"...and will not sit still if a truly democratic government is formed from out of those who "turn against their leaders".

We are manufacturing the history we need as we go along.
