...not this time for sure.

Take the Persian Lamasu or Winged Bull...what is it but the Assyrian Lamasu with curliques....the Persians took over Assyrian art and added their flourishes, flounces and "arabesques"...which makes perfect sense as the Assyrians got many of their themes and styles from the Sumerians, who got theirs from the British...and so it goes.
