No matter which of the Christian denominations we are talking about here, all of them, and that includes even the kkk, agree that the crucifixion of Jesus is the foundation of Christianity. Even if a mini, arrow or any other confused weirdo on here with differen't screen names will play dumb, the New Testament makes that clear. The letters of Paul make it the clearest. "If Jesus died not, our entire preaching is vain" "all our works are like filthy rags". It is the crucifixion of Jesus which Christianity is based on and this even links to "original sin", "trinity" and the "eucharist". These are all connected to the above event. Without this event, there is no "Christianity" because this is what makes this religion unique from others. You can't just be sincere, believe and obey God and worship him on his terms, but one has to place faith on the crucifixion of Jesus which the only way to atone for sins. Of course this is foreign to the Jewish faith and scriptures because the God of the Old Testament "desires mercy not sacrifice"(hosea 6:6). It's funny that even Jesus is recorded to have quoted this 2 times in different gospels.

Yet they still insist that only through the murder and torture of Jesus, who is supposed to be the second member of the doctrine of the trinity, can sin be forgiven, and no other way. So, if any Christian from no matter which denomination, sect or cult decides to have courage to pretend that he/she would be willing to rescue a Jesus from the cross, such person is a liar and would never do so unless they become non-Christians since that is exactly what they would become. The whole idea is that only Jesus could pay for sin and remove it through his alleged sacrifice. So, yeah "no mercy" is correct.
