I'm not writing this because he's your brother or he's Assyrian, but I like Jimmy's version better. Sometimes, when you love someone else's work, you end up doing a better rendition of it. For instance, I love the Stones "Sympathy for the Devil" but I like the Jane's Addiction version better ("Sympathy"). Another example is the '77 film by James Toback, starring Harvey Keitel and Jim Brown, tiltled "Fingers". In the early 2000s a French film maker (I forget his name) made his adaptation of the Toback script into what became "The Beat that my Heart Skipt" which not only I, but anyone familiar with both movies agreed that the French one was better. --------------------- |
