I don't see how we regain our moral stature by allowing those who were intimately involved in the torture programs to simply walk off the stage and lead lives where they are not held accountable.12"

...and I would like to point out that the central teaching of Christianity is that you CAN walk away from your "sins" by killing someone else for them. This is a very bad start for a moral, ethical, life.
