I think I heard this on Democracy Now last week when they were talking about the potentially destructive bomb that was found in Washington state during an MLK parade and why it was not covered as extensively as other close-call incidents by alleged Middle-Easterners. If one was to set up an experiment and ask the average citizen what is the first thing that comes to mind when they hear or read the word "terrorsit", I'm willing to bet 10 out of 10 would say Arab or Middle Eastern. The late comic, George Carlin, says "why is it that we call Palestinans terrorists and the Contras in Nicaragua freedom fighters?" Based on this, he asks "if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fires, then what do freedom fighters fight?"
