Germans portrayed Jews in the same fashion. One of the things they did was to make "the Jew" as a blood-thirsty, unscrupulous, greedy, and manipulative man, drooling over the body of a white German woman whom he was pimping out while forcing the "noble" German man into his slave. Decades before the 1930's Nazi propaganda of Jews, Germans were made to look like hordes of Huns, carrying a German grenade in one hand, while dragging a white American woman on their shoulder like a rape trophy in American anti-German propaganda used to "manufacture consent" to enter the European war. Interestingly, the U.S. decided to go to war in April, 1917, just two months after the the Russian revolution broke out in February, 1917, which some historians consider as one of the main reasons for Wilson's decision, the other being that Wall St. would have lost all the money it loaned the British had they lost the war to the Germans (and by late 1916, it looked as if Germany had the upper hand in the war). --------------------- |
