...look at motive...who ahd the most to gain from such an attack? Obama telegraphed months ago that if Assad used gas he would bring down an attack himself...now, who benefits from an attack on Assad? Assad? The rebels(whoever they are)? The rebels, of course...why would Assad use such a limited attack on his enemies, knowing he wouldn't inflict that much damage on rebel soldiers but on civilians instead and that this would only play into rebel hands...as the rebels have been clamoring for the United States to help them?

Assad had nothing to gain...the rebels, everything.
