"The US intervenes out of sheer altruism and that is one of the main principles of Christianity: to suffer and lay down your life for the sake of others. You're not gonna tell me that you actually believe that the United States looks after it's own interest, do you? Oh come on, are you THAT brainwashed?" - The US lays downs the lives of others for the sake of Exxon and all other corporations. Capitalism is all about profit, not "altruism" -- for the sake of unlimited profits, not only people, but the whole planet is expendable. The interventions in Chile, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, etc., had nothing to do with goodwill, the sole purpose of those operations was to squash an alternative that works for the benefit of all, not just the oligarchs. If the priciples of Christianity were so important and sacred, then why did the US sanction the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero in El Salvador? Why did they train the assassin at the School of the Americas in Georgia? --------------------- |
