Whether you consider these to be chaos is another issue. Polygamy is legal in more than 40 countries and in each of those countries it is insignificantly rare. In the previous post, I tried to show that that the argument for gay marriage can be used to argue in favor of multiple marriages. Mine has to do with redefining marriage. Your argument is more like a circumvention of a loophole in the legal system. You say: A. The law defines marriage as a union between two citizens B. The law does not explicitly specify that the two citizens must be of different genders = Therefore, the law does not bar two citizens of the same gender from marrying. --------------------- |
