Yeah, I heard the same thing about Jagger.. I hope all artists get paid in full and have the time and resources to focus on their art. For instance, Miles Davis formed an electiric fusion band which was inluenced by the styles of Hendrix, Sly and James Brown. He made millions of dollars between '68 to '75. Many of his contemporaries accused him of "selling out". I persoanlly love that peroid of Mile's career and don't really care if he supposedly "sold out". He never denied wanting to get paid what rock stars of that peroid were demanding. One the hand, I want the artists I admire to be successful; and on the other hand, I don't want them to "sell out" and be mass produced like Mickey Mouse. --------------------- |
