I don't want anuclear-free MidEast...I want a MidEast bristling with nuclear arms...every last shiekh, every last terrorist...I want the United States to be faced with what they unleashed when they decided to develop and use the first ones against Japanese civilians...I mean what a strange concept: in war, soldiers die.

But all of a sudden the US was unwilling to let soldiers be heroes and instead decided to kill women and children...and why? Because we wanted to impress and scare the Soviets, keep them from joining us in Asia, as they were obligated to do by our treaty with them!

There was no need to demand unconditional surrender from the Japanese, none at all....the war would have stopped sooner if we'd allowed them to save some face and us a world full of nuclear weapons. For that matter there was no need to push the Japanese into a corner by denying them petroleum and basically trying to break their industrialized economy...you want peace in the MidEast? let them ALL get the BOMB! At least it will keep us out.
