...think if the attitude in Assyria was shared by people from the beginning of time. How would there EVER have been change and growth if we were forced to believe everything we were taught as children and punished for questioning? Why or how would cave-man children ever challenge the notion that living in holes in the ground was normal and right? Surely the cave-priests 20,000 years ago had elaborate tales about how their god, Mugwhump, was born in a cave...and told his followers that they must always live in caves and eat bat shit because that's the way "it's always been done" and "supposed to be"?

...Knowledge is ony possible where doubt exists....certainty kills life, thwarts growth, hinders development and improvement.
