I was intrigued to find that the father of Hannibal, Hamilcar, was nicknamed "Barca"...which the book defines as "lightning"...cause he was fast, I guess. As we all know our word for lightning is "birka"...pretty close match...the Carthaginians may well have been of Aramiac extraction...at least as far as language group and possibly point of origin too. Italians also use the word "Miskeen"....meaning exactly what we meaqn by "Miskeena"....and so on. --------------------- |
