I'd like to see her debate Arundhati Roy, who's not Muslim but comes from a mixed Syrian Christian and Hindu family, and is not religious, either. Her work focuses on what the Indian government (with multi-national corporate backing, of course) has been doing to Indian farmers by pushing them off their land. So far, I think a hundred-thousand have committed suicide. She's also been vocal, advocating against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; and has written and spoken critically against drone killings. In the last recent years, she along with Daivd Barsamian and other activists, have been lending their voice in support of the people of Kashmir. She's been labeled a "Maoist" (she's not) because of the time she spent with Maoists documented and her book "Walking with the Comrades". Aside from her activism, she's an incredible novelist, essayist, screenwriter, filmmaker, and certainly doesn't belong to the Salman Rushdie, Christopher Hitchens and Ayaan Hirsi Ali gang of Muslim bashers.
