Well, there was Maharishi Yogi whom the Beatles befriended, and then there was Osho, both of whom lived like rock stars (definitely Osho: Bagwan Shree Rajneesh).. It's funny that you bring up the American Indians.. I know several individuals who insist that they are "1/8 Navajo, Blackfoot," and so on.. and they wear feathers, beads and own teepees which they spread out in the backyards of their very wealthy friends who live in Malibu, Topanga Canyon, Hollywood Hills... And they also add that in their past lives they were part of the Brahman Caste of India, or Tibetan monks, or some grand, "noble" people.. If one can recall past lives, then why the past life of a cockroach or a worm is never brought into memory? I also don't know what's more racist: wearing feathers in one's hair and camping out in a teepee on the weekends; or wearing a sheet over one's head and buring a cross under the moonlit sky? --------------------- |
