I used to watch the re-runs of their show in San Jose out of boredom.. Never really liked them, I like the early Stones, Joplin's Big Brother and the Holding Co., the Doors, etc. There's a scene in Oliver Stone's "The Doors" film were Morrison is at kid's birthday party and someone hands him a toy doll of himself... A few scenes later, he's dead in a Paris apartment bathtub. When I worked at a news stand in '94, I noticed a comic book of the band Nirvana, and thought 'oh, no'... A few months later Kurt Cobain's brains were splattered on the wall. I wonder if there's an Amy Whinehouse doll or comic book. --------------------- |
