Yes, I agree. During the Holocaust, Kapos were not doing what they did because of some inherent flaw. They simply wanted to survive. And this idea of negotiating to survive had to do with the bi-millennial anti-Semitism they suffered. Due to centuries of demonization and emasculation, they were left with two choices: death or survival - not to imply that all who survived collaborated - but they were utterly condemned both ways! And you nailed the source of my criticism with the Evangelical/Zionist alliance: there are no Nazis in power - only the powerless Palestinians and those who voice (or try to voice) their grievances. --------------------- |
