"I don't understand how China allowed this to happen since it has veto power." - I think Russia and China abstained. My guess is that when it's China's turn in Tibet, and Russia's in Chechenya, they hope to be reinbursed with abstentions from the rest of the permanent Mafia families on the Security Council. In my early twenties I was around so-called socialists and communists with whom I shared meals, cigarettes and ideas. They passionately spoke of the "exploitation" of the underclass, some with oragasmic tears bursting from their eyes. My professor at the time, a Trotskyist, used to warn me about hanging around with a group of "veiled Nazis". This same group - who used to quote 'Che' - later came into money exploiting the California Medical Marijuana laws, which enabled them to travel and exploit the underclass of India, by using them to make clothing and jewlery, which they then marked up by 100 per cent and sold at little boutiques in Berkeley and San Francisco. I parted with them before their bussiness ventures, but here and there, I hear about their inner-fighting, based on greed and power, and who's bmw has the darker tint. Even if it was true that by nature we're pigs and whores, we still have intellect, history and will to bring about a more humane possibility within ourselves and into our surrounding world. I am of those who believe that man is good and it's society that corrupts him. I think that was written by Rousseau. But I also agree with Freud's analysis of man as being driven by his base instincts of sex and aggression, which the Capitalist hones and shapes into the commodity of fetishes for maximum profit and control. That's what I was trying say earlier about the relationship of pornography and Capitalism. I've much more to learn. --------------------- |
