Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones wrote the song "Street Fighting Man" about Tariq after Jagger joined him in demonstrations in London. There's a small clip of that protest in this Lennon film. There's also a book of his by the same title about his activism in the '60s, with a very sad and moving chapter on the death of 'Che'. Unfortunately in L.A. people are so pro-Israel that we never get someone like Tariq or Chomsky or Parenti invited to our universities to speak. One has to drive up to San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley to see some decent people of substance.
