I agree.. The thing that I didn't know was what Illan Pappe made clear, which is that most of all the programs of ethnic cleansing: the house demolitions, the mass arrests, the shootings and killings of Palestinians without warning, etc., were initially instituted by British officers during the '36-'39 Arab rebellion, and carried out by British troops, in the same manner that they are being enforced by the IDF today.
