Even if both parties agreed to the two-state solution (West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital), the biggest obstacles they face are the settlers and the "right of return". There's no way that Israelis will allow the Jewish character of Israel to be drowned by the return of refugees; and it's absurd for the Palestinians to swallow the idea that a Jew born in L.A or New York can easily come to Israel and hold dual-citizenship, live and prosper illegally on Arab lands, where he can wander around armed to the teeth and backed by the IDF; and a Palestinian lingering in the ghettos of Beirut, holding on to the hope, the deeds and keys to the house and land owned by and lived on by his father and grandfather's father, may not ever be able to set foot on Palestine. The just thing is for the settlers to go back to their birthplace of Bevery Hills and Brooklyn, and allow the Palestinians to return to the land in which they were born. That would be the honorable thing to do.
