this DNA study was only of limited use, intended for those bastardized "Americans" with no family history because in America everyone moves away from their families as fast as they can, and who wonder one day just where their ancestors came from, because no one kept records or kept in touch...was it Poland.....France....Ireland...a little bit of all three or something else....so this study could answer that for you, but only for the last 500 years....that's all. How we EVER thought this was going to prove we were descended from Ashurbanipal only a nationalist could tell. What amazed and disheartened me was to hear a good friend, a respected doctor and well-read individual, very sober and thoughtful, take great issue with me without ever explaining exactly why I was wrong....that and a certain Dr. Joel Elias, a professor of cellular biology at UC Berkeley, of all people, who fell all over himself in glee at the prospect of having his Assyrian ancestry "proven".....I say it again; this stuff, like religion, makes people, even smart people, stupid. --------------------- |
